Your uncle has just invited you to the city to learn a trade. Write a reply why you would rather complete your education.
Dear Uncle, I thank you for your letter of invitation to come and join you in the city and learn a trade, it was received with happiness and gladness. Through our these years you have been a source of success and encouragement for our family and for this I appreciate you so much. Uncle, Last year I was offered a provisional admission into the university of Ilorin to study Engineering and I have almost completed registration before the advent of covid 19. Sir, to learn a trade is a very beautiful thing and it had been in my mind a long time. At times like this it is pertinent to add additional skills aside the ones you have learnt in the higher institutions or working with in order to urgment your daily income which is exactly what you are doing. I will very much like to learn, and the trade I will like to learn is leather craft. I have come to realize that leather craft is one of the most lucrative trades you can learn. I also believe that there is a reason to complete the university education which I have started. Uncle, do you know what education does to and individual? When you have education alongside a trade it makes you excel faster and you will attain excellence faster and quicker. You will adopt your education into your trade or handiwork and definitely make a difference in whatever you do. I can tell you sir that a tailor with a university degree will surely have more to offer than a non learned fellow. Take a look at Mr. Frank who has been in the printing business since God knows when, if you can remember Uncle, he used to print using the old conventional methods of printing with casting typesetting which was fast going out of fashion and getting replaced with the new digital imaging which requires the purchase of a lot of expensive digital printing equipment like the Digital imaging machine. For a lot of years he was struggling to keep up in his line of business until one of his sons graduated from the University and decided not to look for a white collar just but to help his father to revitalize the printing business by injection into it state of the art digital printing machines. Today, in Ilorin, you cannot mention three successful printer without Mr. frank ranking second or third position. Uncle, in a nut shell I believe I have proven beyond doubts that I am highly interested in learning a trade but will very much like to finish my education.
Yours Sincerely.

You were asked by your teacher to carry out a project in your course of trade. Write your report explaining the processes involved. Project Report on
Project: How to make liquid soap for washing and cleaning.

Here is a report on how to make soap from scratch. What you will need Hand gloves to protect your hands. Touching the soap directly with your hands can cause crack skin Nose mask: to protect you from inhaling the concentrated chemicals Turning stick or long spatula Measuring spoon and a funnel (to add it to the bottles) Plastic bowls or buckets Bottles for packing Towel for wiping bottles dry and cleaning of hands when done Long sleeves, trousers, shoes, and socks to completely cover yourself to protect from spillage over the skin, Water.
Ingredients: 1 cup C.M.S (Antisol and Nitrosol)– These agents serve as a thickener in liquid soap 1/2 cup SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulphate)– This agent helps to break surface tension (surfactant) to allow better interaction with other chemicals, it also produces foams 1 cup soda ash (sodium carbonate) – This serves as a stain remover, it helps to soften hard water. 1/2 cup STPP (SodiumTripolyphosphate)–
This acts as a foam booster 2 litres Sulphonic (sulfonic) acid– This is the agent that helps to produce foam in liquid soap 1/4 cup Texapon – This is a foaming agent which forms micelles that allow non-polar materials like oil to be dissolved in water 1/2 cup Caustic soda – This is an agent that removes dirt in clothes 2 tablespoons preservative Fragrance (as desired) Colorant (as desired) 20 litres water– This serves as the solvent. How to mix the chemicals Dissolve Antisol with 2 litres of water and let it stay for at least 24 hours; If you are using Nitrosol, dissolve it with 5 litres of water and use immediately. Dissolve caustic soda with 1 litre of water and keep it overnight for fermentation to take place. Dissolve soda ash with 1 tin milk of water and keep it overnight. The next day, dissolve STPP with 1 cup of water and keep aside Dissolve SLS with 1 cup of water and keep aside Dissolve Texapon with sulphonic acid and keep aside Finally, dissolve the colourant with 1 cup of water (make sure you dissolve the colour completely).

Process: Add caustic soda solution into the texapon and stir till the whole salt is fully dissolved. Caustic soda is very corrosive, make sure you are careful. Add the sulphonic acid little at a time till all is added to it. Stir gently as the product may foam heavily. Continually add water to it and stir until the mixture turns whitish Add the dissolved STPP and keep stirring Add the dissolved SLS to the content and stir Add soda ash and stir Turn the mixture into the bowl containing the Antisol or Nitrosol and keep stirring till the solution thickens. Stirring should be very slowly because vigorous turning may lead to excess foaming Add the dissolved colourant. If the foaming is excessive, stop stirring till the foaming disappears and turn again. You can as well dilute the mixture with water if it is too thick. Add fragrance and preservative and stir. When all the chemicals are well mixed, leave the mixture to stay for some hours, and finally package into bottles.

Dear Dayo,
I trust this letter met you in the right state of mind, if so , glory be to God. As you have know that Nigeria celebrates her independents every by October 1st and this always characterized by different skillful displays and acts. Due to my activities in my school I was selected to be among the team that will match at the Stadium on that day. This was not my first time I will going to the stadium for the same independents celebration. We hardly go to the stadium on a normal day so the experience is always a renewed one every year. This time my friend is even more interesting. From the time our teacher came to our class rooms for the selection of the contingents to the training and rehearsals, to the D-day which was October 1st where we were all given opportunities to show our patriotism in colorful match past and acrobatic displays. We arrived at the stadium around 6.30 am in the school bus haven entered the school around 5.30 am so as to be punctual at the even which was to start around 9.am. Upon our arrival, we met scores of schools already taking position on the parade field and the army band was tuning their equipment getting ready to play harmonious tunes to aid our match past. We were all so exited when the representative of the State Governor arrive also at the stadium around 7.30 am. The national Anthem was played by 8.am by the Nigerian Army Band while was sang along, it was all so exiting. Dignitaries were introduced and the days event was flagged off with the Nigerian Army leading the colorful parade lineup followed by the Navy, Airforce, other paramilitary formations who were beautifully showing skills that made them what they were. Then it came to turn of different schools to show what we have learnt over the years. The Army band started all over again giving us tunes to rhyme with our marching techniques. It was so so exiting a s my heart was beating very fast because I was my schools squad leader telling them what to do and how to do it. Some schools showed different climax signature which earned the applauses while others actually received standing ovations from the representative of the Governor. At the end of the parade exercise, my school came 2nd after Army Command secondary school and we were all happy because taking a second position after Army Command School is like first position since army command were not really a conventional secondary school amidst us. It was jubilation all the were back to out school with the cup which awardee to us. You should be there to see how happy everyone was. I look forward to read your reply very soon my friend.
Stay Blessed.

Dear Sir
TEACHERS ATTITUDE TOWARDS WORK AND HOW TO CHECK IT.

Teachers occupy a every important position in the educational system of any country because it is upon their number, quality, devotion to study that system depends. Teachers have many roles to play for effective teaching and learning in our school. They are supposed to be representatives of the community and as well as academic specialist. Therefore, how a teacher goes about his/her duties and obligation in achieving the aims of the school is regarded as the teachers’ roles. A teacher is seen as an embodiment of knowledge. He / she has complete authority in the classroom and his/ her role demands that he/she exercise maturity and sense of responsibility in using his/ her freedom he is expected to pay attention to individual problems of the children under his/ her care and maintain measurable discipline in the class. Teachers prepare reports, distribute and care for teaching materials and other equipments. The importance and benefit of giving parents a complete and detailed progress report on their children can hardly be over stressed. In social functions, the teachers are regarded as having wisdom. They are regarded as leaders, advisers or consultants. The community therefore expects teachers to help in fulfilling its aspiration. However, the search for material wealth and get rich quick attitude, appears to have set aside the age long traditional attitude of hard work and devotion to duty which teachers are formerly known. Selfishness and inordinate ambition have now become the order of the day.
Many teachers do not accept best attitude to work to enable them. Teachers have little or no interest in their jobs and are not dedicated to their work any more. This deteriorating trend in all work of human life is observed more in urban areas where the degree of sophistication seems to dedicate the evil pace. Teaching which every body recognizes as a noble profession since ages, has been the talk of the town, the average man in the street presently laments over apparent fall in standard of education in the our society which they usually attribute to the teachers attitude to work. I believe these trend can be overturned by instruction of juicy incentives to hardworking teachers and punishment to all that are found wanting in their assignments. These juicy incentive should include jumbo take home pay which up till date has been a major cause of their negative attitude towards work as most of them seek other means of getting money to meet up with their ever increasing bills, housing and other major incentives that will make them comfortable. Most teachers live from hand to mouth while seeing the students they graduated become politician and flaunt stolen wealth around to oppress all that cared. I believe if the teacher were made comfortable enough their attitude towards work will improve.

Best Regards
